We,Human are intellectual and we know what is right and what is not so.That's the reason why we are the greatest creation of Allah. There are two terms named Ummi and Jahel which is related with the word intellectual.
Ummi:Ummi means being someone who may not be able to read and write but has the strongest intellectualism to understand the understandable things.Which actually means if you don't know reading or writing but know the things that is right or wrong,you are still educated. That is the thing that our beloved prophet Muhammad (s) had.He didn't get institutional education. That's why he didn’t know READ or write. But he was the only one who could figure out that the Arabs had destructive system in their almost every fields like economic,society, politics and all.He was the one who could realise that everything was wrong.He cried a lot to solve those jahiliyat. There is a misconception that the only educated people are good. But no! First of all, understand what education is. Education is not being able to read or write only.Its something more definable and deep.Its the medium of realizing and getting facts clearly, efficiently and finally effectively.And not necessarily someone is bound to choose this medium only to fulfil the fixed purpose. Rather one can choose any medium.Apart from Institutional education, there is another way to dissolve the misunderstanding which is EXPERIENCE. Experience can be the bestest weapon for a person to actually realise the dunya tactfully. It really helps you to assassinate exactly what's wrong going on,exactly Who is it that is allowing you to die in the midst of the sea? yes,Being an ummi can be the proudest moment of your life. And also being an ummi can be the toughest way of your life..But if you have guts! Go Ahead with your intellectualism.
Jahel:Jaheliyat is exactly opposite of ummi.Being a Jahel means Being someone who can have the knowledge of writing or reading but have the utmost least knowledge of realising the right things..Do you know that Abu jahel was prophet Muhammad (S), s uncle and one of the most institutional educated person of that era.And surprisingly he is now called JAHEL though his real name was Ibn Hisham.Can you now evaluate what made him Jahel.Forget about religion, if you still use your brain you can still figure out what exactly the reason was.He had everything what a person now needs in This generation.A name, A fame and most importantly the Managing responsibility of the great Kaba.But unfortunately he had hardly any brain,hardly a drop of humanity. Not him only,the entire arab was then the era of jahiliyat.failing to use intellectual properly was the main reason of it.
So yes,
When you're that person then unfortunately no education,family values,experience would help you to get out of that hell..Just see outside and try to evaluate the problems properly.Then hopefully you can realise that because of the lackings of a well -organised thought, people are fighting for no reason, Social media has now become.... .I am afraid if i collect my courage to write a comment. with even 100% good manner without any vulgarity ,i can still hope to say there would be always a single person calling me hater or something like that.Like really?can i don't have the right to advice one as a human.being..And I've just told you the one side,,,there are hundreds and thousands of those scenarios.
At the end, i can only say,
I hope we all can be the Ummi not Jahel.
